Did anyone else try to "summon" the creepypastas when they were young?

I remember reading those "How to Summon Creepypastas" stories on wattpad when I was younger and would obsess over it. My most vivid memory of one was when I lived in TN and we owned a good chunk of the woods in our backyard, I wanted to summon Slenderman soooooo bad and it said I had to carve the Operator Symbol ⦻ into the trees while chanting his name. Sadly it didn't work but I remember trying to to a bunch of other ones lol.
