Just got written up after calling in sick because I wasn't able to get anyone to cover my shift for me. I've worked at this place for nearly 2 years and I've always taken other people's shifts when asked. I'm heavily considering quitting after this because this is a weekend job that doesn't pay that much and I only continued working there because I felt obligated to stay but I'm tired of working 6-7 days a week.

i quit a job like that and moved on to a full time gig. all you have to do is email you boss or HR that you're quitting if you're in a at will employment state. I don't know if this is the right thing to tell you but no one you work with is your friend, as long as you are getting paid they had no obligation to give you the same courtesy.
