It's not an super big issue- as I haven't seen any Advertisements- but it's actually surprising how many there are. Go through new users, and you'll find within ~3 pages some random company sitting right next to some emo or scene kid. It's not like SpaceHey is particularly known.

I think it's because many artists in the 2000s started their careers on Myspace, and since spacehey is becoming increasingly popular, artists see it as an opportunity to try and grow a community !!
there are even some artists who have an automated friend request senders to have many friends and be able to grow a fanbase
