you gotta draw him as a T-Pose to get the idea of their body. then you're gonna draw like a stick figure with circles at the joints of the body to know where they are going to bend and stuff. Draw the stick figure in the pose you want lightly so you can erase it easily and draw your OC on top of that. erase the stick figure and you should get the pose you want. remember proportions of your OC do character sheets draw them a few times and nail down how the OC is gonna look. reply wiht any questions and stuff, also Youtube is awesome with respources.

you should draw the skeleton first!! Not really like the actual bones of the little guy but mainly where the joints and muscles go but like really simplified like this

if you want to draw them in a different pose all you need to do is adjust the skeleton a bit, that will also mainly be your (rough) sketch. If you adjust the position of the arms and legs and move the hips a bit and do this a lot you will get the hang of it and know how long your limbs should be in what position.

You should also use a reference all the time, use yourself as a reference, open pintrest i just recommend using pictures from real life instead of other drawings even though they may be easier in the beginning

then after you’ve drawn the skeleton to desired pose you can add the details, its a lot easier with baggy clothes and such as the imperfections of the skeleton aren’t as obvious but challenge yourself too!! I really hoped this helped you out a bit, i also recommend going on youtube and trying to find some art teachers on there that could maybe explain it a bit better!
