SAW XI THEORIES + THOUGHTS

For those who haven't heard,

Saw XI has already been delayed until sometime in September 2025. Disappointing at first, but good when you realize it gives Twisted Pictures and Lionsgate more time to fully flesh out the movie, more like they did with Saw X. phenomenal movie in my opinion, by the way

Whatever movie they do, it's very likely to be Tobin's sendoff (aka, the new 'final bow' for the series), considering his age. Very sad, but it was destined to happen, taking into account his willingness to 'do a Saw movie without him' (hence Spiral, and we all saw how that turned out....). 

Reportedly (allegedly!!), there are also plans to do a TV show written by a mix of newcomers and current writers (set between I and III), along with video game partnerships. It seems returning characters are off the table for all of these, along with Saw XI (but it doesn't mean us Adam fans can't delude ourselves..!! I mean, seriously, his death was so unfair. Did Gordon just get amnesia or what? But let me stop myself before I go too far on this :*).

What we've got so far is Tobin is definitely coming back as John Kramer, with Kevin Greutert as the director once more.

To be honest, there's only a couple different routes they could go with this. Resume after 7 with Hoffman, follow up on X with John and Amanda, or do another John prequel sort of story. It's unlikely they'll do anything to follow in the footsteps of either Spiral or Jigsaw. It seems it's going to be a more character-focused story, and we may even get some Apprentice-Gordon appearances. Logan too, if the timeline allows. Especially considering those too are just running free in Saw-verse wild right now.

Personally, I think they'll go with what X did and dial back the series from the ridiculous plot lines it's become synonymous with as of late, and return to the people and the traps that house them. I think we'll get a similar movie to X (no complaints here!), though more Hoffman appearances would be greatly appreciated, considering he's a fan favorite.
