Note To Everyone: I guarantee you all had to respect someone's opinions. If you don't like gatekeeping I ask you to leave if you wanna avoid causing any trouble or unnecessary drama. But since this is the negative side of gatekeeping, you can share your opinions RESPECTFULLY. Don't be an asshole! Reasonably share your thoughts and opinions. BE OPEN-MINDED


Now I'm sure that's also the problem for the Alternative Community.

i think a lot of people use the excuse of gatekeeping to bully people who are new to the subculture for being "posers", when the right thing to do is educate the new people on the subculture and guide them to some good music recommendations. 

i feel like it's our duty as alternative people to help new people in these ways so they don't get led astray, and name calling does nothing but scare them away from learning
