i think the positive side of gatekeeping is definitely keeping bigots out of alternative spaces!! it's incredibly important to make alt spaces free of hate + hateful people

gatekeeping will keep bigots and other shitheads you dont want out of the scene, but itll also keep out corpo rats.
i mean subcultures have been ruined by corporate bullshit, punk is the biggest example (if you need an example look at zombie punk and his fucking loser squad)
