how do i keep an image still outside of my main containers?

The images on the sides of my profile stay put while scrolling no matter what, but when the entire body size changes based on device, they either overlap or spread outwards. What I'm trying to figure out; can I get all my images to change size along with the body of the page (like everything else does) or can I add separate containers to put them into, or a third option that I've missed entirely ?
