Fall into Stories: Cozy Reads & Spooky Tales for Autumn Nights 🍂˚ ༘ ೀ⋆。˚☕️

hii buns! 🍁

As the days get shorter and the nights grow colder, there’s nothing better than curling up with a good book. Whether you prefer the eerie chill of a spooky tale or the warm comfort of a cozy read, this is the perfect season to dive into some atmospheric stories.

Here are a few ideas to get us started:

Cozy Reads:

  • The Little Bookshop on the Corner by Jenny Colgan – A sweet, heartwarming story
  • The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern – Not too scary, but magical
  • Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery – A classic that feels warm

Spooky Tales:

  • The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson – A truly eerie, haunted house classic
  • Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia – A spine-tingling gothic horror
  • The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell – Gothic, dark, and perfect

Feel free to share your own cozy or spooky book recommendations ༄˖°.🍂.ೃ࿔*:・

And for some extra fun, let’s challenge ourselves

Spooky Writing Challenge: Write a 500-word short horror story set in a forest at night.

☕️ Cozy Writing Prompt: Describe your perfect autumn afternoon, focusing on all the cozy details—what you’re drinking, what book you’re reading, the atmosphere around you.

Let’s get into the autumn spirit!

I can't wait to see what everyone recommends and writes~!!

First off I'd like to say this was an amazing group to make and that I cant wait for more people to join this cool little group.

I most likely won't be able to read the books you recommend but I'll try to participate in the short story writing prompts :-)

I would love to participate in the writing challenges, it looks so interesting, but English is not my first language. I hope to learn a lot, and to be able to read your amazing stories (^▽^)
