An old poem I made

In a classroom filled with circles, I stood so alone,

Feeling different, an outsider in the world I had known.

The shapes around me, they all fit together perfectly,

Each one a perfect circle, unlike me, awkwardly.

I whispered my doubts and woes to Mother, in a hushed tone,

And she smiled, understanding my feelings, never feeling alone.

She said "Be you, my dear, and don't hide your uniqueness,

For it's what makes you special, an unparalleled apex."

With her words in my mind, I stood up tall and free,

No longer feeling left out, my spirit unbound, you see.

I found others just like me,

Shapes of all kinds,

Feeling acceptance, a sense of belonging, in our time.

Together, we formed a family, a place of love and care,

No longer feeling different, no longer feeling scared.

And now, I embrace my uniqueness, my own, special way,

For being different is what makes life a beautiful display.
