hi there! first time making a thread here. i was just wondering if there were any people here who have, collect, use or have an interest in vintage computers? it's one of my favorite hobbies and i wish i could follow it more than i do. feel free to share anything about them below!

last year, i ended up getting an old IBM 486 PC (model was specifically an IBM ValuePoint 433DX/Si) off of ebay that i restored to working order. i gave it some cleaning up but i also upgraded its RAM, added a Sound Blaster sound card, swapped out the hard drive with an IDE-to-CF adapter, and installed DOS 6.22/Windows 3.1! it was a fun project and i hope i can do more in the future.

I own an Asus EeePC 701 that still works perfectly (except the battery doesn't hold a charge), running Haiku. Not sure if it counts, because I bought it in 2009; it wasn't vintage back then!

I sadly don't own any yet, but I do really want to get my hands on one. Some guy at my work recycled a ton of vintage Apple and IBM educational models from the local school district and I wasn't allowed to take them home ;-; Did manage to nab a vintage Mac keyboard though :)

I have an Amiga 1200. I don't have access to it right now, my parents have to keep it since I live in a college dorm right now. Also, could use some touch-ups. It lacks the floppy drive button, and I should give it a RAM upgrade at least.
