Cigarette Poem

Cigarette

You feed off of fear,

You feed off of addiction.

You feed off of wealth.

You're a cancer.

And it's time it's come to truth.

You fill my lungs with hate.

You kill my drive for air,

You read my goddamn mind,

And you're the cancer that I despise.

You eat off insecurity,

chew on my dying breath.

You're the cancer,

That I just can't seem to forget.

And that cigarette I hold,

As it kills my soul,

It may not be tobacco.

Yet the fear,

it's still bold.

Tobacco holds no fear,

Tobacco depresses the mind.

And because of tobacco,

I feel so very sick inside.
