has anyone here ever played/is a fan of the trauma center series of games? it's my favorite game series ever and it's so underrated but it's so good and i could literally talk about it for hours and WE NEED ONE ON THE SWITCH!!! i also have all of the games except trauma team because i can't find it anywhere :( and it's absolutely at fault for making me want to go to med school to become a medical examiner. i literally owe my career to naomi kimishima.

I played them on my pirate r4 cart back in the DS days. very fun but as a kid I could not handle the stress and pressure. I still remember and sometimes give out the trick of drawing a star in your head to shift your focus away from something, good trick.
I remember playing a game inspired by trauma center on the ds where instead of operating on the body, you did auto repairs. However the timer was even more strict and there almost never was a reason given for why you even were on a timer in a job that is generally pretty free from stress and the dissonance of that made be not play it much as a kid/tween.

@mickio1 haha yeah! i actually had to re-learn how to draw stars because of the healing touch trick. i grew up drawing my stars a different way and i had to learn how the game wanted me to do it, so that's just how i default to drawing stars now :P

OOH NEVER PLAYED THESE GAMES BUT I REALLY LOVE THE GENTLE BREEZE SONG, I might get it I know Atlus makes good games!

^ you absolutely should!!! granted you have their respective consoles (2 entries on ds and 3 entries on wii) the price point for playing the games authentically is pretty low. i got my copy of under the knife (the first game) in box for about 25$ usd, but i'm sure it's even cheaper out of box. second opinion (a wii remaster of utk with a complete art overhaul and some additional story content) and new blood (also wii) can be found SUPER easily. if you poke around at some used game stores near you you'll probably find a copy of one of the two for no more than 15 dollars.
unfortunately, under the knife 2 (where gentle breeze comes from, ds) and trauma team (wii) are a different story. my copy of utk2 cost 50$ USD. CARTRIDGE ONLY. no box or anything, which is really depressing because i absolutely adore utk2's box art. that was the lower-priced end of the spectrum i'm pretty sure too. and then trauma team... upwards of 50$ usd, possibly more. i've seen it go for as much as 80$. it's just pretty difficult to find in general it seems. it's the only game in the series that i don't own but i long to have it someday.
but if you don't have access to any of this stuff, i would recommend karin's channel on youtube! she has no-commentary playthroughs of all of the wii entries. and for utk and utk2, check out slyzer. they both have the gameplay in a by-"episode" format and they're really nice to watch ^_^

Yes! My favorite game is by Atlus, the same studio, and they have cameos of some of the characters!
