It feels like the same thing, what is the difference?
I mean for purpose of usage. Is there a technical breakdown or is it something dictated by the community? I'm used to forum websites, frequenting on things like Chicken Smoothie, Proboards, and MAL, and while MAL has a blog section I still have no idea what the use difference between a blog and forum are.
Especially since they seem to have the same format and a blog isn't private or friends only so???

for me, the difference between blogs and forums is mostly that forums are often used for discussion purposes ? while blog posts are just if you want to share something etc. of course you can still discuss in blog posts, but its mostly been more encouraged to use the forum feature instead!
so if u have any art or just want to talk about ur day, u can use ur blog, and if u have any questions or want to ask for peoples opinions on a specific topic, you can use the forum. overall though, there really isnt that much of a difference imo :/
