Death to The World: Orthodox monks' punk zine (Stuff I am curious about)

I'm not orthodox but I find the whole thing really interesting, and I would like to find out more about it if any of you guys have cool rabbit holes I can go down.

One of the fun stuff I've found is Death to The World, as the title says, a punk zine by some orthodox monks. The idea of following a religion and rebelling against worldly ideals does seem pretty punk.

Another topic that I discovered (but still have a very surface level understanding of) is this non-trinitarianism. The guy I spoke to who believes in this said that Jesus was most likely a sort of healing man. This dude also said that when studying events from then, it should always be viewed with the context of first century Judaism since that's what Jesus probably practiced too. Would love to hear more about that.

Again, if there are any interesting topics you can suggest feel free to! I love just reading up on random shit.

Very interesting. Definitely a very modern form of proselytizing lol. My uncle is orthodox and he dropped off a few books about Greek-Orthodoxy along with a bible and a mega.nz link that provided hundreds of PDFs about orthodox theology. IDK if I'd be able to get through it all in this lifetime..

non-trinitarianism is indeed interesting. The modern churches declare it to be a heresy, the major religions believing in it are the Mormons, and Jehovah's witnesses. One idea surrounding non-trinitarianism is that Christ was not born the son of God and that he was instead "adopted" as the messiah. Strange but interesting stuff.
