I honestly really enjoyed the ps1 game. Actually playing the game is a little tricky and quite boresome but watching a video explaining the story is way better. I watched one a while back ago and it was really interesting. The game is a lot less tricky to understand compared to the anime. I recommend watching a video essay on the game to anyone who hasn't yet.
