im tryna stop using google chrome bc i honestly don't trust it as much anymore. so in ur opinion, what search engine is the best for the consumer ? (no opera gx or opera i dont want tht at all)

You're mixing up browsers and search engines. You can use Firefox, that's still the only serious alternative to Chrome and its clones (like Opera). As for search engines, these days perhaps Mojeek.com, but even they have added AI crap. At least they still have their own index (I think).
