Can someone explain [irl] love to me?

I guess the best way to describe it is like

You walk into a store, and there's a pear. A lot of people want that pear but to do different things with it. You want to eat the pear, another person wants to draw the pear, another person wants to use the pear for a science experiment. It's kinda the same thing with attraction in a way. At the end of the day, all types of attraction, want the same pear in a way: intimacy and closeness with the person the attraction is directed to. This intimacy wanted is just in different formats and with different boundaries, activities, expectation, etc.

basically for me platonic love and romantic love feel pretty much the same exept with romantic love there just an extra layer to it where you want to kiss them and stuff. it's kinda hard to explain but yeah thats how it is for me.
