Basic Tips

Hey guys, I'm new around here but I thought I would share some tips for anyone interested.
Note: Consult a doctor or specialist if you have any injuries or problems.

1. Take your measurements, height and weight. Use a calculator to see your BMI.
2. Start small with goals and write them down.
3. Go the gym 3-4x a week and use a PPL (Push, Pull Legs) schedule. You can work out more days once you are more comfortable.
4. It is essential to take rest days, after a workout it is normal for you to be sore.
5. Get between 8-10 hours of sleep for the body to repair and heal.

Nutrition:
1. Consume enough proteins by your weight in grams. (For example if you weigh 150 Ibs (68kg) you should eat 150 grams of protein in order to repair and grow your muscles.)
2. Regardless if you bulking (eating in a calorie surplus) or cutting (eating in a calorie deficit) you should avoid processed sugars and junk food, while eating enough fats, carbs, etc.
3. If you don't want to record and track your calories you can strictly eat healthy.
4. Drink a LOT of water. Not only will this help with overall body health, but will make your brain function better and give you more energy.

Conclusion:
Working out will take a high level of discipline and patience to see any results. What I do to help is to take progress pictures, as it helps motivate me. These are some basic tips I learned when I started working out. If you have any more tips or feedback please share! I hope this helps :)
