I'd really love to visit Thailand, especially the Chiang Mai area.  Have any of you been there?

I used to live in Chiang Mai, it was kind of dead when I visited last year in 2024 vs 2018-2020 era. I’d recommend making the Thailand island chain your primary destination and then going to Chiang Mai for a week on your way out.
