Forum: Books and Stories

Has anyone on this forum read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury? It's such a great book, if you haven't read it, especially if you like dystopian themes, you should give it a try.

yeah, it was pretty good

i have a theory mildred killed clarisse

  • mildred says she likes driving fast and hitting dogs/rabbits
  • mildred openly expresses distaste for clarrise
  • clarisse was run over
  • mildred knew the exact date of clarisse's death
what do you think

i did, i had to read it twice, a few years apart. The first time i read it, it was ass to me. I struggle to read not httot atm anyways so it was a struggle and it made no sense to me. Second time over? I fell in love with it. it definitely takes time to read and digest, and if you get absorbed in a book as quickly as i do (near immediately. two sentences max before i dont feel like im apart of my surroundings anymore), it requires a bit more patience. still an amazing read, the characters still feel so real and make sm sense, Motag feels more and more like yourself the more you read. You understand him well, there's no way not to. Def reccomend

RAGHORN, that's a rlly cool theory, I actually thought a bit about that after my second read of the book. I think it's definitely likely that that's what happened
