Looking for music reccomendations!

Looking to branch out a bit more with my music taste. I really dig MCR, Slipknot and Avenged Sevenfold at the moment. I enjoy albums that kind of have a story to them if ykwim???

I currently listen to -

my chemical romance, slipknot, radiohead, limp bizkit, the front bottoms, foo fighters, the prodigy, flyleaf, eminem, evanescence, soad, pierce the veil, type o negative, green day, greywind, bullet for my valentine, bring me the horizon, nine inch nails, the used, nirvana, deftones, korn, blink-182, linkin park, men at work, alice in chains, muse, three days grace, papa roach, the jesus and mary chain, the cranberries, sum 41, bowie, avenged sevenfold, elliot smith, suicidal tendencies, the chats

Any recommendations are appreciated - thx!!!!! xp

definitely check out mineral if you like mcr, frank iero has credited them as one of his biggest inspirations.

the hotelier, brand new, cloud nothings, grandview, and sunny day real estate are also all amazing emo bands that i recommend

i recommend embrace (1987), subhumans, germs, minor threat, fugazi, sugarcult, skinny puppy, suede, hanoi rocks, ride, aberdeen is dead, rites of spring, hell bruizes and hawthorne heights!  sorta similar to some of the bands listed (seconding sunny day real estate as well!!)

You should really listen to the album Trainwreck by Boys Night Out, it's a concept album with a really cool kinda post-hardcore sound

hey hi! have you listened to the "new" (not that new anymore) Queens of the Stone Age album? it's so good


There's a guy called Alain Johannes (who collaborated for a long time with Queens and PJ Harvey, among others), he has an excellent album Frangments and Wholes (released some time ago), and if you want, your gateway can be the song called Kaleidoscope (I did a cover btw)


and there's also the album Rid of me, by PJ Harvey. One of the best albums of all time. You can start by the song called Rid of me.

this is old  but i recommend sonic youth !! kurt cobain was a big fan of them and was inspired by them,, some other good bands are jack off jill and babes in toyland

Black flag (hardcore punk), has a bunch introspective lyrics and Suicidal Tendencies (crossover) also has pretty good lyrics. Static x is more industrial and if you want to listen more Nu metal I would suggest Snot or Hed P.E
