i have a query.
rpg maker is oft stigmatized in online spheres for a myriad of different reasons; some justified and some not. what are your opinions on the engine, and the games that it spews out? are you a fan? are you not? why do you like the games, or why don't you?

I would say that it is a engine like any other, it's good on what it does, is very modifiable, the only thing is, if you really want to create a game on this engine you need to make it stand out, there is a lot of games made on this engine that are not bad, but they're not special and sometimes the real bad games get a bad taste on people mouth, so they will not risk it buying/downloading your game if it looks generic, i hope that helps ^^
