Regional Tensions
The tentions between Epiclandia and Talonia had existed ever since Sir Anthony was crowned governor of the Epiclandia Colony. The governer of the nearby Awesomistan Colony, Madam Marie, had long been a despiser of Sir Anthonys policies when he was the Mayor of the city of Epiclandia. During one specific meeting, Madam Marie attacked Sir Anthony when he was criticizing Madam Maries treatment of her citizens. So it was inevitable that conflict would break out.
First Water War
The war officially started when a powerful Talonian official shot Sir Anthony while he was meeting with one of his officials. Sir anthony got immediate medical attention and ordered a team to find the failed assasin, The team found it to be Madam Marie herself. When sir anthony heard the news, he declared war.
The first violence of the war occured on the eastern side of the Epic waterfall between Awesomistani Loyalists and Epiclandian Loyalists, but it didnt take long for the first real battles to start. The first major battle of the war was the First Battle of Epic, where 50 Epiclandian soldiers and 25 Awesomistani royal guardians met at Epic Waterfall. When epiclandian soldiers started winning, Madam Marie brought in her husband, Lord Friedrich, to initiate a suprise attack from the west, which was quickly stopped.
After a few more battles, the WA Delegate of Talonia tried to end the conflict with peace talks. The first confrence of Epiclandia was held infront of Epic Waterfall to try to end the war. The treaty wasnt signed by any members and the war continued.
A few more Epiclandian victories until the second major battle. The battle of Epic Bridge, when both sides tried to get the high ground and attack the other side with arrows. The battle ended with a draw. Mary ordered more assasins to attack Sir Anthony, all of the assasination attempts didnt even damage Sir Anthony. Sir anthony then retreated to his hometown of Epiclandia for safety. Epiclandian soldiers still continued to fight until Awesomistan surrendered, ending the First Water War.
Foundation of the Kingdom of Epiclandia
After the war, support for the Talonian government jurastically fell in Epiclandia, with a majority of folk wanting greater autonomy and even independence. Especially after many official Talonian maps showed Epic Waterfall under control of the Awesomistan Colony. And after Lord Friedrich went on a horse ride across Epic Waterfall, Sir anthony stood ontop of a boulder infront of the waterfall and declared the independence of the Free Kingdom of Ackish Epiclandia. a few days later, Sir Anthony, the new king of epiclandia, declared war on Awesomistan.
Second Water War
The Epiclandian strategy was simple, Keep the Awesomistani soldiers out of the southern half of Epiclandia Waterfall, then attack the soldiers from both enterences. But before the Epiclandian Soldiers could attack, a massive goblin came down and attacked both sides, causing Awesomistan to unite with the Epiclandians to stop the goblin. After a year long chase, and after King Anthony was captured by the goblin for a month, the goblin was impaled with a hundred blades, and a few days later, Awesomistan surrendered to Epiclandia, and Anthony was crowned King of Awesomistan. and after a few years of editing paperwork, the Greater Epiclandian Empire gained full independence from Talonia.
