Visual Novel Beginners Guide(18+)

Okay this is the part 2 of the all ages guide. I wasn't really able to discuss certain games due to them having adult content. Now I can actually talk about them

The issue with visual novels is that there really aren't that many truly all ages vns. They have almost always had an adult audience in mind. Here I will recommend the visual novels that are actually good. I won't recommend smut. I know even your better than that.

Muv-Luv.

This is the low level of h stuff there isn't really much even with 18+ patch. The story follows a young guy named takeru. The first part called extra is a standard slice of life affair but with some interesting concepts to keep you interested. The story here is sorta bland and relies heavily on absurd humor. The second part is called unlimited. This is when the true story starts. You wake up in a earlier part of the story but with a twist. You've been transported to a new reality where aliens took over in the 80s and you need to fight against them. Unlimited while more interesting than extra still had a lot of the absurdity of the first part. Alternative is a separate purchase and a beast of a vn at 70 hours by itself. Without spoilers the who twist happens again and you wake up at the same moment at the start of unlimited but with all your memories intact. This is where the story truly picks up.

Subahibi.

Subahibi or wonderful everyday is an interesting story. It is both of the most horrific and most beautiful things at the same time. This one has an interesting set up. It is split into 6 chapters with different perspectives. Without spoilers it gets pretty trippy. The game starts out with a false start that takes place in a different timeline. You must finish this to start the true first chapter. This is pretty short and just sets up the plot. Then you change perspectives to takuji. This is where the horrific content starts and Without spoilers it continues until the second half when the pieces fall into place. Would totally recommend if you have a somewhat strong stomach.

Saya no Uta.

Speaking of strong stomachs this is one of the best horror vns there are. It follows a guy who gets into a life threatening car accident. He then goes through an experimental treatment that causes him to see everything and everyone as grotesque displays of pure horror. This is until he meets a young girl named Saya who appears as normal to him and tricks him into bad things.

I think I will finish this here feel free to post your individual recommendations on your own posts or in the comments. Have a nice day.
