Here on the PC I am very satisfied and would give the game my 94/100. There are a few small things that bother me:
  • The start selection has no weight.Β
  • There are too few long hairstyles for the men.
  • There is no transmog system. I don't want to be a clown.
In addition still many other small things. In itself it fulfilled however my desires and I look forward already to the vacation starting from tomorrow 15 o'clock.

8/10 - running the PS4 version on PS5.

There are bugs and crashes of course, but the gameplay is too Fallout for me. I was hoping for something a bit more fast-paced and challenging. Overall, the story and "personality" is there. They have a good foundation to build and expand from.

i cant really get behind how unethical the production was, not a huge fan of crunch, not a huge fan of how it was presented as ~subversive and inclusive~ when you still have gender locked hairstyles and gender locked voice options (which there are only two of), just seems like an unnecessary big budget game that, if worked on longer and given more actual thought and consideration, could have been really cool, but giant game studios just want to make as much money as possible without paying anyone a fair wage and i literally cant play a video game with all that in mindΒ Β

I honestly thought the main story was pretty fun and well done on PC - obviously not on other platforms - but somehow, that totally turned around in the last 30 to 40 minutes. Complete shift of quality, imo, feels like someone pulled the plug.

Anyone else having that experience?

It didn't run well on my PS4 Pro. I experienced so many glitches while driving it just became unplayable. I'm thankful Sony started offering refunds today.

Overhyped, glitched, crunched, pretty limited character customization, unnecessary edgy and transphobic marketing, huge management issues that can be felt in every corner of the game...

...but the game is pretty fun. I love the characters, main story, stealth feels great, combat feels good, soundtrack is awesome. 30 hours in and I still want to go back in NC.

f- CDPR tho. The game was way too unnecessary ambitious, poor decisions were made. I sincerely hope the devteam will have some long deserved rest during the winter break before having to fix all of this mess.

I think the game was great... But it's EXTREMELY buggy.. story was good.. Futuristic GTA V.. I wouldn't say it's worth $60 though lol...

I'd still recommend people to buy it though for an experience..

Presentation-wise I was extremely underwhelmed day one, game crashed during a very early cutscene so I just haven't booted it up since, been playing games I actually enjoy and don't have to try to enjoy. I'm okay with waiting for updates/patches.

I have it on PC and find it to be very fun. It's kind of hard to give it a rating or recommend it to other people though because everyone's experience with the game seems to be different. I've had multiple friends refund the game on steam due to it running poorly despite them having better hardware than me so it just seems finnicky overall.

I'd recommend at this point just waiting for maybe the patches in January or February to see if things improve or maybe try out the game for a couple hours on steam to see if you can even run it and refund it if you can't.

If things were smooth and there weren't as many bugs or crashes, it would be a 9/10 to a 9.5/10 for me.

in all honesty, it wasn't god awful.

sure, it had a variety of... frustrating visual glitches and over-saturated non-existant tech mumbo jumbo, but over-all the story wasn't terrible. game play mechanics weren't terrible. gunplay wasn't terrible.

7/10, wasn't what it promised but i wouldn't have put 60/70 hours into it if it was complete dog shit.

7/10 Incredible world building, incredible motion capture, outrageously good raytracing, (mostly) amazing voice acting, and phenomenal story writing for both main and subquests.

I'd rate it hire but they cut a lot of content and essentially pushed out an early access game.

I honestly think if they had said somewhere near the beginning of 2020 "Hey, the dev team needs more time, but we're going to release an early access version that will be updated over time" there would have been a lot less outrage.

I finished it last week and would have to give it like a 6/10 right now. A lot of the city is pretty to look at, but just a shell. Customization is actually hilariously limited? Super buggy. I WISHHHH it had happier endings but that's just a personal thing cause I don't like games to be depressing. Insane world detail, character design, mocap, voice acting, and good main quests. AND THE MUSIC IS KILLER.Β

I love it. I still haven't finished playing because there is so much content. I wanna do every side quest and all of the little fighting encounters. I like that I can spend so much time getting immersed in the world. There are some glitches I encounter, but they are easily fixed by doing a quick save, then reloading that save. Or it's not an issue because it's, like, enemies T posing or something, which is just funny.

I feel bad for the devs, though. Players are giving them so much hell for it being released like it was. They kept saying it wasn't done, but were pressured to get it released. They probably would have kept pushing the release back until it was finished, but they'd started getting death threats on social media. Honestly, if tons of people were messaging me on social media saying that they knew where I lived and would set my family on fire, I'd say fuck it and release the gameΒ  too. Β―\_(ツ)_/Β― Play stupid games (threaten the devs), get stupid prizes (put the game under crunch and get an unfinished product).

Over all Experience is a 9/10, yeah there are bugs and glitches and sometimes the game just breaks in hilarious and outrageous ways but thats part of the Charm I think. I literally have 181 hours on this game through both playthroughs and literally still going hard on it.

I'm playing on PC and having a good time. Slowly working my way through the story because I don't get much time to play and I keep getting distracted by side quests. Night City is fun to roam around in!

Overall it's a lot of fun, but it's not the game I expected. It has a number of issues, beyond the graphical/control glitches, that can't be fixed by a patch.

  • As others have mentioned, character creation is more limited from what it felt we would get. And once you finalize it, that's it; you can't change your character's appearance at all later. In a world full of mods, you'd figure you could, right?
  • The background you choose has almost no bearing on the game. It changes your intro mission and gives you certain dialogue choices, but nothing else. It's more for flavor than anything else
  • Speaking of intro... the first act of the game is messy as an intro to the story and the mechanics. You are given training, but it somehow simultaneously teaches too much at once and not enough. You're kind of dropped into the world without context and while it is fun to discover neighborhoods and other world elements, it's less clear how to do basic things. Things like crafting, skill tree progression, and item economy are left for you to learn entirely on your own.
That being said... I'm really enjoying it. I'm in Act 2. Here, the gameplay really picks up and you feel like you're a part of a bigger world. The graphics are good, the controls are fine, combat and stealth are fun, and the aesthetic is great.

I enjoyed it and still am.
Barely 32hrs and barely did the first faze of the main mission lol
I'm playing it on pc so I have a good run on it but I'd give it a solid 8 out of 10.
Mainly some technical bugs like getting stuck sometimes in the scan mode.
And some items become ghost items and I have to reboot the game to get said item.
But with some updates it'll be where it should have bin.
Worth the experience.

7/10 on PC (40ish hrs playtime)

There have been a few inconvenient glitches, but most are just hilarious
The overall game is a fun concept and the details are thought out pretty well.Β

The cons for me are the very long dialogs, short main storyline (though having a number of endings helps some), and the armor/attire looks dumb the more you use it for its intended purpose. I guess defense comes from looking like a crazy clown person.

Would you recommend it to a PS4 owner or would it be better to wait a little bit more? I heard about some friends of mine who faced game-breaking bugs that did not allow to continue with the story, but this happened as soon as the game hit the shelves, so I do not know if the overall experience was improved somehow. I read very opposing comments on the net

I do really like the game and I guess I’ve been a lot more lucky then others (on Xbox one X) that I don’t really experience a most of the bad bugs but I still get the Freezing & crashing and was the same for Fallout 76. But there is a whole lot that could’ve been in the game, the devs. Were right, the game really did need until 2022 before it was actually ready.

I was able to play it for free because of a friend and I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it..Β

It was okay but omg the glitches and the crashing every 2 hours was annoying af..Β
The side quests were better than the main one for the most part tbh..Β
And I think the most emotional I got was at the end in the credits, with all the people talking to me.Β

So.. for a free Game a 6,5/10 while if I had paid for this..Β  probably a 3/10Β

Also the inventory system was... ugh..Β
no hairstylists in the city?! Hmpf..
So pretty when it worked and so much potential so.. :( rather sad that I feel this way.Β

Street Kid playthrough. Did all the side quests (except buying the vehicles and some NCPD stuff), got all of the endings, but my dumbass forgot to save Takemura when Adam Smasher tracked us back to the apartment, so one of the endings wasn't complete (to me).

It crashed a few times per session, but that didn't ruin my fun. I actually enjoyed the game quite a bit. I wish CDPR would have told everyone to "fuck off" and release the game when it was truly ready.

Now I'm just going to wait to see what the DLC brings and play Halo: Master Chief Collection and Mass Effect 2 in the meantime.

@bobby I only found out you could have saved Takamura when I looked up the endings after and I was like "what???" I knew I shouldn't have panicked ran and listened to Johnny in that scene.

Oh gosh, where do I start.....Β

This was a game I was SOOOO hyped for, and it delivered only very rarely.Β

The first act was done perfectly imo, it's what built up the suspense and the side quests/side gigs thereafter felt very much an add on to that to help the world continue feeling real, and there was this anticipation of where else it could go if this is only the start, but that's where it all ended for me. Looking back I realized it was rushed and tbh the plot didn't really make any sense. The endings themselves were extremely underwhelming, which, I can see being disappointed getting some endings in any game, but with this one I felt they were all bad, and the only really "good" one was leaving night city which I was like, the whole point of the game seemed to be making it to legend status in the city and then we're just going to take off? IDK.Β

Playing as a female, there were really NO male romance options, only like River who personally I wasn't all that into. Other than that there was only two hook ups, the rest were all women romance options so it definitely felt skewed.Β

The rest of the beef was in all the cut content that was advertised, which to look back at all the old articles and videos of gameplay and interviews with the CEO just feels criminal:

- In-game add ons for cyberware, cars, goneΒ
- No other apartments V can ownΒ
- No creator customization past the start of the game (like, really?? In a game all bout looks?!)
- No interwoven quests where if you piss off one gang they will attempt to get revenge (this was the scavs in the gameplay video)
- No other quests with Militech which was advertised in the first gameplay video that was what brought on so much hype even after Meredith implies otherwise at the end of that first questΒ
- Backstories don't amount to much, there's some optional dialogue in conversation but other than that, all roads lead to one end result, and V sounds and acts the same regardless (which is really weird if you think about it - what Corpo would sound like a petty street criminal?! and why would they even need Jackie, they had access to way more lucrative contacts...)Β

It was all one of those things that I kept waiting for, thinking it would come with further progression of the game, but nope....Not to mention all the terrible glitches, crashes, and god awful graphics on all platforms other than PC when it was promised other consoles would play it well.Β

To see the potential the game had, not only what we were hoping for but what they SHOWED us especially after how long it was in production and how many delays there were, it was damn shame, and this, coming from a huge fan that thought CDPR could do no wrong. A lot of people are talking about waiting for updates, I mean, I GUESS but for me original giddiness of playing the game is gone, so I might end up passing.Β
