VN suggestions?

Hi! I've wanted to play VNs for a while but was never sure where to start.

Are there many psychological/experimental visual novels? I like Serial Experiments Lain, Perfect Blue, DHMIS and similar shows. I found that most of the VNs I looked into were essentially school anime (no hate to the genre just not my thing yk). I played DDLC and enjoyed that a lot!

I also was wondering if anyone has suggestions for easy Japanese VNs for my studies?

Or really just any of your faves!

Thanks!

Ohhh. I would totally recommend subahibi. It is also known as Wonderful Everyday. It is an eroge and has some disturbing content but it does the whole experimental thing really well. It's split into 6 chapters with different perspectives. I won't spoil though. But it has some great elements of horror, and denpa.

Like sceners said I really recommend subahibi/wonderful everyday! It was the first vn I read in many years after ddlc and is what got me into reading vns again. Idk if you ever read it or not but it's still to this day my favorite! I also recommend saya no uta, which is also a classic, and pretty short! (Only a few hours long). This spring I picked up higurashi and umineko simultaniously and theyre both really really really good. Not denpa like subahibi and lain, but still really good stories! Even though I've only read the first chapters of them I have many friends who also strongly recommend them!

I played the first bit of tsui no sora and found it so disturbing that I have been afraid to blindly play a visual novel again LMAO.
