Lush was a British shoegaze band with their original lineup consisting of Miki Berenyi, Emma Anderson, Steve Rippon, and Chris Acland. They're known for being one of the first groups to have the shoegaze sound, though some of their songs don't fit strictly within that label. They're closesly associated with garage-band groups like the Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, and Ride. They were apart of the second Lollapalooza tour in 92, and after began gaining a lot of traction in the U.K. The band split after their drummer Chris Acland died by suicide and have remained pretty much inactive under the band name Lush besides a quick reunion and split in 2015-2016. Miki Berenyi still tours with a group called the Miki Berenyi Trio (who I'm seeing tonight ^_^)
