So this is about the recent ILLIT VS. New Jeans thing. I think it's crazy that people would say that ILLIT's concept is similar to New Jeans!! New Jeans is more Y2K and ILLIT is like magic/dream girl. Their songs don't sound the same and New Jeans does not own dance moves!! do these people not know how trends work???
Anyway... thats my two cents on this. Please feel free to share your opinion!!!

Idk I feel like some of the dances are fs recycled/stolen but I don’t think it’s so much for it to have a whole court case over lol
I lowkey just feel bad for illit getting all this hate tbh, first about their vocals (which I personally think it’s because magnetic was sung in a range most of the girls don’t normally sing in, as they sounded much better in lucky girl syndrome) and now they’re getting hated on because of something their company did— like even if it was blatant copying the music and dance style, how is that the girls fault they are jus doing their jobs

yesss ur sooo right, i mean all they had to do was change some moves and issue and apoligy!! they didnt have to go to court over this!!! and tbh new jeans music isnt hiting anymore, like it all sounds the same, at least to me

i agree , if anything illit has a concept more like red velvet ( not saying they are copying them ) but even if illit was copying new jeans then it would be hybes fault NOT the girls

yes like why are people blaming the girls?!?!?! and tbh Min Heejin has more evidence of copying other artistis and media for new jeans than Illit has .

I feel so bad for illit cause they didn't do anything. The fact that they go on stages and the Korean netz don't clap for them is so sad. They worked so hard to achieve their dreams yet have to deal with all of that.
But I do like New jeans better because they did bring out a nice fresh concept when all K-pop was becoming girl crush.
I feel like each gen best female group made trends being set. Like Girls Generation (2nd gen kpop) made the cute concept go viral, Blackpink (3rd gen kpop) made Girl Crush go viral and now New Jeans came with the Y2k concept
But it is true the Me Heejin did copy other artest what I will never understand is why fans are mad at the illit GIRLS instead of the company, and why they don't take Me Heejin copying other groups as seriously.
