I've always been kind of curious to know how sexuality and gender (esp. transgender people) affects people's political affiliations. Most friends I have around are queer, and tend to have some form of left politics. This applies much more heavily to trans people I've noticed (myself included). Other than a couple trans celebrities, I don't think I know a single "liberal" or right-leaning trans person, most of them I know are either some form of communist/anarchist or at the most moderate, a bernie-type social democrat.
My main theory comes from the effects of some form of oppression experienced by these groups. I see a lot less cis, white, male gays on the more radical side because, like it or not, they are the most societally accepted whereas the trans person (of any race/gender) is not only targeted and used as a scapegoat by the right, but experiences a marginalization by our own community at times. But I'm curious to see the outcomes.
I'm aware that SpaceHey probably isn't the most active place to post this kind of stuff, but I'll have the resources to do an actual study on it eventually.
So if you don't mind could you list:
> Your Political Affiliation
> Your Sexuality
> Your Gender (please specify if you are not cisgender)
