Is this band emo?

A few months ago, I was on Spotify when I stumbled upon this band called T-Tauri. For some reason, Spotify labeled them as emo and I was pretty confused. I don't think I have heard any emo band sound like that. I also checked their Discogs page and Discogs only labeled one of their releases (Bring On The New Dionysus) as emo.

This band got grouped with some other band on Spotify. I don't think Pictures At An Exhibitions is part of their discography.


What do you guys think?

If they are emo, what kind of emo are they?

Tbh idk, but it's really good!!!! Feels almost like scramz (Sorry if i get that wrong!)

I do definitely see T-Tauri being a skramz band from their earlier releases with their vocal delivery and lyrics but the I have never heard the instrumental of another skramz band sound like them. I think T-Tauri sounds very unique (compared to other things I’ve listened to). And there’s also their 2006 album, Infinite Motion which sounds more like post hardcore than anything emo.
