I think horror that plays off our instinctual fears is the most interesting to me. Like for example, you can show a baby monkey a toy snake and it’ll run away in fear even if they never seen one before. That’s instincts. We have the same fears in us, and forcing your viewer to experience the fear that’s written in our code.
