Red House Painters was a San Francisco slowcore band. The band got their name after a local painting crew and have said to have been influenced by Neil Young, Nick Drake, James Taylor, and Tim Buckley. I remember hearing Katy Song a few years back somehow and really connecting with it, one of the things that always stuck out to me was the lyrics and also the back half of the song being the same thing repeated. I never got bored of it, though. I've always liked bands that used album covers like they did. A friend of mine showed me their cover of All Mixed Up. Don't know if I liked it more than the original but it was definitely interesting.

I can't ever listen to Japanese to English, something about Mark's voice annoys me so much on that track -_- I don't know if any song of theirs is more beautiful than Grace Cathedral Park.
