Forum: Metalheads Group

Everyone definitely has a mega-influential author or album that made you who you are today or helped you get through difficult times. And, as for me, this is the most valuable thing that metal and music in general can give - philosophy

Personally, music has changed almost everything in my life. And I thank Megadeth for that. I was impressed not only by the sound of this band, but also by its history. It really made me think that nothing is impossible and you can get out of any shit. My life has become much more interesting and rich, because music is the thing that interests me most. I love listening to it, playing it, understanding it.

not an album per se, but Mike Patton and Steven Wilson.

I discovered Patton as a child because my father was a metalhead.

I discovered Steven Wilson as a teenager with Blackfield by chance on the internet.

And I see their influence and impact on my life in all the artists and bands I've discovered through them. All the artists and bands I see resemble them. The way, even over time, sometimes I still discover songs they did with someone (especially Patton) that I'd never heard.

And beyond the influence in my life because they changed the horizon of my taste in music, also the admiration on the fact that they are sooooo good, always have been, for a long time and still active and GOOD nowdays. Their music and energy are aging very well
