just wondering if there's a way to change the appearance of the rest of the website outside of profiles? i know how to change profile layouts but is there a way to change how the rest of the website (blogs, forums, messages, etc) look so it's not just plain white and blue?

Unfortunately, I don’t think so. However, I’ve seen plug-ins (...extensions??? Dunno if I’m using those words right) that specifically change the pages you can’t normally change, like the home page.
I...don’t known where to find them exactly but I’m certain they exist :o totally would love an official dark mode though
Oh, but you can use HTML coding for blogs and bulletins! Well, only for your own blogs and bulletins, though. Just hit the <> button and paste whatever code you want!
