A Local Volcano in My Province is Erupting

There is a stratovolcano to the north of Sulawesi Island in North Sulawesi Province in Sangihe Islands archipelago, its name is Ruang Volcano and it has been erupting since 16 April, 2024, that means it's been two weeks. 

Although I live in Manado City, which is more than 100 kilometers (62 miles) from this volcano, today the volcanic ash has reached here and continues to spread. Sam Ratulangi International Airport has been closed because of this, the only airport in the province.

The sky this morning, 30 April, 2024 seemed very dark with thick clouds. Rainwater mixed with volcanic ash. When my mother and I went out in the morning, all the vehicles on the road, including my mother's motorbike, were covered with volcanic ashes.

My eyes and breathing hurt in the morning due to exposure to volcanic ash. Let's see how long this volcano will continue to erupt.
