Fellow Sims 2 Fans

YES. Sims 2 is the absolute best of the Sims franchise imo, though Sims 1 has a big nostalgia appeal and is genuinely so unhinged. I think compared with 1, 2 just absolutely nails the gameplay loop and unlike 1 never feels punishing for not constantly socialising your sims. It's also pretty easy to get Sims 2 working on Win11 which is a huge plus, but strange EA hasn't put up an official way to play Sims 2 in 2024 (maybe for the best as it's nice having it free of microtransactions)
