The 20 and 5 Rule

Hey everyone,


I wanted to post this because I thought it may be helpful for anyone who is having trouble studying. The 20 and 5 rule is a way to pace yourself while studying while allowing for some time for brain breaks.


Essentially, when you start out you study for 20 minutes and take a 5 minute break and then study another 20 minutes. This rule works really well with my 8th graders but I would adjust down to 15 and 5 for anyone younger and adjust up to whatever you can handle for anyone older.
