I mostly listen to fugazi when it comes to post-punk ensembles. Haven't done much exploring of jrock but I really like teengenerates, a garage punk band from the 90s. Shocking Lemon is another one I like from the early 2000s primarily. I don't know much beyond that and anything jrock related I usually find from anime OSTs. Tsuneo Imahori is good like that

dude i forgot about Teengenerate, maybe you'd like Guitar Wolf or Zoobombs not nearly as lofi tho
jrock I would recommend Boris, The Novembers, Coaltar of the Deepers, Melt-Banana, Boredoms, Tricot, Midori

fugazi are great! tbf, thats exactly how i got into jrock years ago, through anime osts. now I don't watch as much as I used to, but the music stayed with me, I guess.
will definitely check out the bands you both mentioned, thank you!
