Generally antibiotics should only be taken when prescribed, for a specific issue. Your body will build up a resistance to them and they wont work when you are ill and need them.
You mentioned acne in the replies; I have never heard of anyone getting any sort of benefit from antibiotics for acne; there are acne-specific medicated products that exist that you might want to check out instead.
