Allow me to explain.
I know he isn't always that liked not only by the fandom but by outsiders aswell cuz he may appear annoying or like selfish or that the incident was his fault. BUT.
IT WAS NOT.
Basil has ALWAYS cared SO DEEPLY about his friends and their wellbeing, especially Sunny. The ONLY reason he did what he did was to protect SUNNY and what would have happened to him if the actual truth got out!!!!!
And even if it OBVIOUSLY wasn't the right thing to do, HE WAS 12. HE WAS A CONFUSED, ANXIOUS, AFRAID AND TERRIFIED, ACTUALLY, IF I ADD, 12 YEAR OLD WHO LOVED HIS BEST FRIEND A LOT.
Also even after 4 YEARS OF SUNNY ABANDONING HIM, he was still there. Waiting. Waiting for when Sunny would come back for him.
He is loving, caring and incredibly sweet.
There's MUCH MORE I can say abt this and I may have to, but nah Im kinda bored and noones prob gonna read it, anyways, since Im 1 year late.
Thats all.
