Higurashi: When they Cry, Gakkou Gurashi, Happy Sugar Life, not many of these focus on things like mental health but they do fit a similar dark vibe while all being very different
For a perfect analog to Neon Genesis Evangelion, taking a genre of anime and turning it on its head and focusing on mental anguish, Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a must watch
