there's just something i love about "Brane Scan" and "CP Violation", in my opinion those are half-life 2's greatest songs. "Military Precision" from half-life 1 is great, and episode 2's "Sector Sweep" totally bangs. episode 2 also has a track that didn't make it onto streaming services -- "Crawl Yard". justice for crawl yard (︶︹︺)

It's by far the ending theme of HL1. On so many levels too. It's a banger, yes. It comes as catharsis after finishing the game, also yes. Ties up one of the most iconic moments in gaming history - G-man's monolouge, too. And fom the angle of music itself? The whole melody is exactly one sample. Sure, the drums and vocals are what makes the track, but still, THE iconic Half-Life 1 credits music is just one sample from a sample pack CD.
