Transformers: Animated!

I grew up watching animated, and I absolutely loved it as a kid. Lockdown had such an amazing introduction to the series and Megatron had such an intimidating design. It wouldn't be a post by me unless I also commented on it having one of my favorite shockwave designs on screen and in hand through his toy. 

i'm new to the fandom and just started watching tfa, but from what i've seen it's an amazing show and i am enjoying it very much! bumblebee is so annoying and i love him for that ngl

Besides the movies this was the first transformers series I got into oddly enough. I can’t recall exactly when I started watching it or how I could have found it since at the time I only really consumed media that was relevant in the past decade but I’m glad that it’s the one I started with and think it’s a great starting point to get into transformers as well!

 It’s very story and character oriented and is a lot less heavy on the darker topics like in the comics while still being entertaining enough for an adult (my dad lol). It also sets a pretty high standard heading forward so you can get into the deeper parts of the transformers fandom and not feel like you have to watch see or read everything. 

Probably not everyone’s number one but definitely mine  

I finished watching the series a few weeks ago, and it was great. Big fan of the worldbuilding and how the show tied in a bunch of stuff from throughout the franchise. I grew up mostly watching Cybertron (and a little bit of Beast Wars on DVD) as a kid so Animated released around when I stopped watching Cartoon Network. Now that I finished TFA I've been subjecting myself to Beast Machines.

And to answer the question about the cancellation, Hasbro wanted to have their own show on their own network that was more closely aligned with the Bay movies. I'm pretty sure CN had some ownership rights over TFA or something. TFWiki probably has better info on that.

I fucking loved Transformers Animated. I grew up watching it and always thought the ending was, weird, but sad. I remember thinking Prime was a continuation, but realized it had nothing to do with TFA.
