KinitoPET: Good or meh?

I thought the contrast with realistic footage such as the bag in the web mini game to be excellent. It does work pretty well as a horror most of the time imo. However, I feel like the story is so convoluted and non existent that I can't enjoy it to the full extent I do with other horror games. I  also feel like some of the horror relies too much on fear of actual danger such as the location scare, than any actual atmospheric tension. Of course, this does not mean I hate the game. It's an interesting take on games such as A Dark Place and I appreciate the effort that went into it. However, there are some things that definitely weren't looked over.

I think kinitopet is a really fun & exciting game that has some really interesting concepts going on for it! VERY nostalgic to old desktop assistant stuff, however i think some of the horror elements were a little bit silly. I think my main gripe is with the first starting horror scenes where you're helping out kinitos ''friends'' in the little webgame, the webgame was a really good concept but it was REALLY really cliche LOL. Everything else though was amazing. The chase sequence thing gave me massive goosebumps

it was pretty awesome but some of the horror was just more annoying that creepy. but it has more pros than cons! 

Played it a few days ago for the first time. Yeah, I'd give it a 7/10! Short and sweet, hated the little thing so it was satisfying to 100% the game. Many theorists have weaved together the lore and whatnot, so maybe they connected all of the seemingly random scares in the game. Unsure what it all means, though. 

Is everyone just experiencing a collective Stockholm Syndrome over Kinito? I don't get it...
