i know this is more punk than scene, but

lookit this mask i got from etsy

it's really cool, right??

but i have a slight problem, those extra filter-looking things on the front, they're completely decorative/fake, you can actually pop 'em right off

and when you do, it just leaves holes in the damn thing

and i want this to be an actually functional mask, both because i'm an artist who works with some slightly toxic materials (spraypaint, ceramic), and because i have immunocompromised friends, and because the pandemic is not over &/or was first of many imho (collapsenik/"doomer" yeah ik lmfao)!! so i had the idea to combine it with a n95

but then it did this thing where because it was no longer directly on my face/pushed out by the second mask, it slid down and away from my face, and there was this big gap that happened between both masks & my chin

should i cut the n95, and glue/sew it into the punk mask?? how else should i combine them, or is there something else entirely i should be doing?? please recommend next steps
