I started learning to play the guitar (electric) two weeks ago and although I've been doing some progress, I feel like it's a bit slow. I feel like I would do much better with a better routine and also knowing what to practice and when. I've been looking at a lot of youtube videos but I'm still a little bit lost lol.
My current routine is: Spider walk for 10-20 minutes, changing tempos and patterns (4-2-1 notes, then alternating). Then some strumming exercises (syncopated and not syncopated) for 5-10 minutes, then practice a couple of chords and chord switching for 10-20 minutes, and then I practice songs or riffs. Easy ones, as I'm still not good enough for anything too complicated.
I already played the classic smoke on the water riff and I can somewhat play some small riffs, although they don't sound very good (lack of proper rythm/fingers going the wrong places in the fretboard/picking the wrong strings at times).
Any recommendations?
