your essential as alt people?

hey, i just wanted to ask to any alt person, what's YOUR essential (clothes, accesorry, whatever) as someone that dress alt, because, it can be intresting for anyone that wanna start dress alt but doesnt know where to start, dont y'all think so?

i think my essential is probably clothes?? liek shirts & bottoms (& then move on 2 jackets & things) bc u can start w those rlly cheap thrifting & doing DIY & then move on 2 getting like neat shoes or accessories or practicing makeup or w/e u feel like doing to supplement ur bases!

i don't think i'm what most ppl consider alt (i like alternative cute clothes and pink :D) but CHOKERS!! i don't think any outfit is done without a cute choker :)

hmmm… tbh my personal essential when it comes to alt stuff/fashion is my music taste, i’d say clothes but i’m not able to wear all my good pieces often (cuz of the shit weather where i’m at) but yeah other than that its music

"Alt" basically just means going in the opposite direction of what everyone else is doing, so pick the most basic/milquetoast/boring/cloned IG baddie, and do the exact opposite.

Studded/rivet(?) belt, both of which have been well worn for me. Besides that fishnets, docs and a cute black miniskirt to pair with fun tshirts or dress up more!!

Personally my essentials are jewelry/accesssories and a statement bag. i don't have a lot of money to dress the way I want to dress so I dress pretty basic but jewelry always helps putting a look together
