I should get back into honestly, it’s been a very long time. However I’m playing nocturne right now, and I can see the problems with V imitating it. V’s issue (besides clearly rushed pacing and an underdeveloped cast) is that it imitates nocturne without the surrealism. Many of V’s jokes can fall really flat due to how it contrasts with the brutality of the setting and the seriousness of the characters, but nocturne works via the player being mainly left to their thoughts to interpret the world.
