What was your furry awakening??

i always drew animals from the second i developed motor skills but i found a "How To Draw Furries" book at barnes and noble when i was 10 and it was all over from there

I didn’t know furries were a thing *shrugs

idk i liked animals and i liked to draw them standing up like humans then i found out furries r real and i wuz liek WAAAAT!!!!!!! and i fell in luv but tbh i like da fursuitz da most

It was this old old animation meme of a wednesday campanella song that was made by a ton of different artists and there was a short scene with a kitsune fox looking guy and my brain was like "DUDE YOU HAVE TO GET A DRAWING TABLET RIGHT NOW" and I did and i guess that started it all lol. funnily enough that was one of the artists that wasn't credited in the description of that video so it took me several years to find out who made that part

Since I can remember my furry awakening was animal jam… 

tbh i was always a furry, since i was a little kid i was OBSESSED with animals and drew nothing but animals. i was also a hardcore Warriors fanatic lol

always loved and drew animals, but what did it for me was pokemon, neopets, warner bros-verse and disney cartoons. all these things hit me around the same time and i never recovered lol

100% sonic. i had been a huge fan of sonic ever since i was really young and one day i made an oc and then decided to make a sonic version of it and it stuck around long enough for it to become my fursona XD

I always had an interest to animals (esp antros), but my friend was the one to introduce me to the furry community! I was like, 6 years old at the time <w>

I grew up watching talking animals until now,i met the internet at the age of "4".Wow..

I took inspiration from others and started drawing furries,

til this day im still drawing furries and came out as one.

i used to draw warrior cat ocs in school and when i was younger i played animal jam and other animal games

funnily it was aphmau xDD she had an episode of my street where she got turned into a little purple minecraft cat… and i LOVED IT!!! so i made a minecraft green and purple cat oc that was standing on two legs bc i didnt know how to draw a normal kitty LOLZZZ

some other notable contenders were animal jam, animation memes & amino that def got me more familiar with the community :P

uh i think when i was like 13 or 14 or something i just thought it was cool and figured if i liked it i wanted to participate. i used to be a big mlp fan and i made a pony oc and had that be my fursona.
main memory tho was that it took a bit for me to actually end up hanging out around people who were cool with that, and as a result i kind of told myself i wasnt a furry for a while until eventually i had one friend say he was a furry and i was like "oh thats okay? sweet" and i have never turned back since
funny how far slight represtation representation and slight judgement can change how someone feels they are allowed to view themself

I always knew that furries existed, but one day i decided to start listening to mailpup and i realized "wait.. furries are actually so cool"

probably animation memes.. but also i grew up watching anthropomorphic animals talking so ;-;

Mine was animal crossing for the game cube and looking up how to draw wolves when I was younger. From there I found out what furries were and boom! Furry!
